If you haven't already saved your login details for our Shopify online account, at the conclusion of your order you will have the option to save your details into an account. You will be able to see and save your order history associated with this email address, but please note that subscription information and address changes are not held in the online shop. (The email to which you receive Janine's weekly newsletter is not related to the online shop account login.)

Subscriber Information

Here are some common questions from subscribers to our quarterly print magazine.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The online shop does not manage your subscription, so if you're moving and need to change your address, please fill in this form to update your address. Creating an account with the online shop will store your email and address for future purchases, but does not reflect your subscription information. If you have specific questions about your subscription not answered here, please email shop@uppercasemagazine.com.

We send our data to the printer well in advance of it arriving to your door. That’s why it’s important to keep your mailing address current with us. Please fill in this form to update your address.

Please note that mailing information is finalized the 15th of the month prior to a new issue coming out in January, April, July and October. If you have mail forwarding with your local post office, make sure you have a service level that will forward magazines as well. 

It is up to subscribers to keep their information accurate and current.

Depending on when you've subscribed, your first issue will either be sent directly from our printer to you or sent via one of our fulfillment centres. 

UPPERCASE magazine publishes four times a year with issues released each January, April, July and October. Although we can tell you when the magazine leaves UPPERCASE headquarters, we can’t predict how long the postal service will take. Follow us on Instagram to see readers around the world sharing their excitement about the new issue’s arrival. If your mailing information is current your issue is most likely on its way. We’ll be in touch with you via email before your last issue arrives. You will also receive a letter with your last issue. If you’ve received your subscription as a gift, we won’t have your email on file yet so if you want to receive messages from us, please contact shop@uppercasemagazine.com with your full name, mailing address and email.

UPPERCASE readers are a talented bunch. There are many ways to participate. We post numerous calls for participation throughout the year. When the shipping and billing address differ or when you're purchasing a gift, please select the Gift Subscription options.

Please have the recipient's current and correct mailing information at hand. If you're renewing for someone, make sure you're using the same name as the original subscriber. You can only purchase one subscription at a time, so if you're subscribing or renewing on behalf of multiple people, please do a separate transaction for each recipient.

You can only use one shipping address per order so each one needs to be a separate transaction. Select a Gift Subscription option when purchasing for someone else. The recipient's address is entered in the shipping fields and yours in the billing.

There are no refunds on subscriptions, but we can forward the remaining issues in your subscription to an alternate recipient within the same country. 

Shipping policy

Shipping costs are calculated based on your location and the weight of the shipment. Orders are sent to our fulfillment centres in Montreal, Quebec, Canada or Mira Loma, California, USA. You can also select from various service levels for faster shipping options if desired. You will receive an automatic email when your order is shipped from the warehouse. 

Please note that customs charges are the responsibility of the customer. Though we try to ship items in Canada to Canadian orders, certain items may ship from the USA. Though we try to ship items to our US customers from the US warehouse, occasionally we have to ship from Canada. Most international orders to the UK, Europe, Australia are shipped from the US warehouse via United States Postal Services. 

If you want your shipment to be trackable, please select the Fedex or UPS options. 

When placing your order, please always double-check your mailing address that everything is 100% correct and postal compliant. Thank you.

We ship to Canada, USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia. Put your desired items in your cart and proceed to checkout. Enter your mailing address when prompted and the shipping costs will be calculated. You can decide to proceed to payment at this stage.

Holiday 2019 Shipping Cut-off Dates

Please note that postal delays are beyond our control; these dates are a rough guide only and we cannot guarantee the expediency of your local postal service.

December 10 is the last day to ship within Canada via standard Canada post parcel. Please upgrade your shipping method to courier for delivery on orders placed between December 11 and 16. Orders placed after December 16 will not be guaranteed to arrive before Christmas.

December 13 is the last day to ship within the United States via standard USPS and media mail. Please upgrade your shipping method to courier for delivery for orders placed between December 15 and 16. Orders placed after December 16 will not be guaranteed to arrive before Christmas.

December 6 is the last day for international orders to be sent via standard USPS international to Europe, Australia/New Zealand and other destinations outside of North America.

Returns and Damaged Shipments

We don't accept returns or refunds on books and magazines unless it is due to a damaged shipment. 

Every effort is made to package our magazines and books in appropriate and eco-friendly protective materials.

Some small dents may happen in the course of a magazine or book's journey to its reader. But occasionally a bigger mishap may happen along the way. Please send us a digital photo as documentation along with your full name and mailing address.

Please note that most damage occurs in the final leg of the postal journey—please report to your postal service provider and leave a note in your mailbox if your magazine was bent.

If applicable, we will send a replacement item or a refund, but in the interest of not being wasteful, we don't sent replacements for very minor dents or creases or if the postal worker has bent an issue in defiance of the "do not bend" instructions clearly posted on the magazine.
